What Online Marketing Techniques Work Best? EMarketer Stats

What online marketing techniques bring in sales?

An eMarketer survey of senior marketing executives says search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing and pay-per-click (PPC) ads were most effective for smaller marketers.  For those with marketing budgets over 1 million dollars, email was first and SEO second.

Effectiveness is measured by conversions — clicks that lead to sales.  Of course, there’s also brand building, increasing awareness in new markets.  For these, SEO and page sponsorship were most effective. But for online marketing with high ROI, it’s back to basics with SEO, email marketing and PPC.
